The 8th Edition of Kaleido Retreat, What's on the Other Side? will take place from the 20th - 24th of August 2025 in Hasliberg Rueti in Switzerland.
Registrations are now open! Please read the following information carefully before registering.
Kaleido is a grass-roots project run in a voluntary capacity by our team. Here’s what our finances look like:
- Venue including stay for everyone in the event: CHF 18000
- Catering for 100+ people, including remuneration for our incredible chefs: CHF 10000
- Transport, including transporter rental for a week and bus from Zürich: CHF 4000
- Reimbursements, for the expenses of the speakers, workshop leaders, performers and staff: CHF 10000 Total Estimate: 42000 CHF
- By choosing the Volunteer Kaleido Pass (CHF 400), you help us cover 1/105th of the cost
- By choosing the Standard Kaleido Pass (CHF 790), you help us cover 1/53th of the basic costs
- By choosing the Premium Kaleido Pass (CHF 1200), you help us cover 1/35th of the basic costs
- 4 nights accommodation in spacious double room.
- Full board (3 absolutely delicious meals per day) from Wednesday evening to Sunday noon, as well as coffee/tea breaks in the morning and afternoon. The menu is vegetarian/vegan and is sourced regionally.
- Access to all talks, workshops including all material, morning activities, and other planned activities
- 4 nights accommodation in spacious 3-7 person rooms.
- Full board (3 absolutely delicious meals per day) from Wednesday evening to Sunday noon, as well as coffee/tea breaks in the morning and afternoon. The menu is vegetarian/vegan and is sourced regionally.
- Access to all talks, workshops including all material, morning activities, and other planned activities.

How your contribution helps
We want to allow everyone to experience Kaleido. For this, we offer participation fees on a sliding scale of 3 steps which you can choose from. All the passes are inclusive food and accomodation. Premium pass includes double room sleeping.
If the income exceeds CHF 42,000, it will allow us to invest more into the project in the future and also reward the organizers for their efforts.

We begin to arrive at 16:00 on Wednesday (20th) and ends at 12:00 on Sunday (24th).
The venue for Kaleido 2025 is Hotel C’est La Vie, Hasliberg-Rueti, Switzerland
Kaleido Retreat takes place in carefully selected venues in Europe. After seven editions in Switzerland, France and Germany, the 8th Edition of Kaleido Retreat is in Switzerland.
This year’s location offers breathtaking views of the Alps.

Kaleido Low Income - Volunter Pass ( 5 days | 4 nights all - inclusive )
Join the Kaleido extended team!
Volunteers support the Kaleido Team during the event for approximately 2 hours per day. The tasks include for example supporting workshop leaders and speakers to set up spaces; supporting in the kitchen; providing technical support related to sound and lighting, etc.
The idea of the volunteer pass is to make the event financially inclusive for students and people with low-income. These passes are supported using the In-Solidarity contributions and through other donations.
We have 10 passes available.
If you are able to join the event with a regular Kaleido Pass, please be mindful of this. Of course, all help is welcome at the event, even for those who purchase a Kaleido Pass, just reach out to us so we can organise this with you!
The volunteers will be accomodated in rooms sleeping 3 – 7 people.

Kaleido Children's Pass ( 5 days | 4 nights all - inclusive )
You can purchase a Children’s Pass (for children under 12).
It is an all-inclusive pass with full board with same accomodation as accompanying adult.
We currently do not have kids-specific activities. The curated programme is currently tailored for adults. Allowance of children in workshop spaces will be decided by the respective facilitator. Thelocation has plenty of space, indoors and outdoors to enjoy free time and play around. We will try to accommodate any special requirements you may have. There may be other parents and children, and we will keep you informed about it. Please communicate specific needs in advance so we can do our best to make the necessary arrangements. Travel: Group Bus from Zurich to Kaleido and back
We have arranged a group travel option by bus from Zurich, which you can purchase for 60 CHF.
The bus will leave approximately 15:30 on Wednesday from Zurich HB and will be back in Zurich HB at around 14:00 on Sunday.
We do not offer one-way tickets as this is complicated for us to manage.

Travel: Train and Car
If you travel by your own means, please make sure that you arrive by 18:00 so that you do not miss the opening dinner and workshop presentations.
The location is C’est la Vie, Engi 449d, CH-6086 Hasliberg Reuti, Switzerland.
If you wish you come by car, please let us know as there are limited parking spots available.

A few weeks before the retreat you will receive more detailed information regarding what to bring, meeting points, etc.
Spots are given on a first-come-first-serve basis. There will be a waiting list if the number of registrations reach the maximum.
If you have registered but cannot participate, we cannot give a refund (except for a cancellation of the event such as due to COVID-19 outbreak, see section below). We allow the option to transfer your ticket in case of non-participation. You will need to inform us and this person will have to register on our website.
